Some of our favorite days on the river are the big ones: a company of thirty spread across a fleet of rafts, colleagues who share an office suddenly sharing a rapid. Since 2011 we have run group and corporate trips on the Tara — here is how they work and why the canyon is a natural team-building venue.
Why rafting works for teams
A raft is a team exercise that does not feel like one. Six to eight people, one guide, paddles that only work in rhythm — cooperation is built into the activity, not bolted on. Add Europe’s deepest canyon as the setting and phones that stay in the dry bag all day, and you get the kind of shared experience that actually sticks.
Group sizes and formats
- 10–40 people is our standard group range, run across multiple rafts with licensed, insured guides in every boat.
- Half-day option: the 14 km national park section — scenic, accessible to all fitness levels, ideal when the rafting is one part of a bigger program.
- Full-day option: the 36 km deep-canyon run — the flagship, for teams that want the real expedition feeling.
- Multi-day programs: combine rafting with jeep safari, zipline at the Tara Bridge, hiking or Nevidio canyoning, with accommodation in Zabljak arranged around the program.
Catering and logistics
Group days include riverside meals — grilled food and local specialties after the water, the way rafting days should end. We handle transfers from Zabljak or meet groups at our Djurdjevica Tara Bridge base, coordinate timing for large parties, and can split a big group across staggered departures if needed.
Languages and safety
Our guides work in English, German, Russian and Italian, so international teams get safety briefings and river commentary in a language everyone follows. All guides are licensed and all trips insured — non-negotiables for corporate bookings, and standard for us since day one.

- Fitness range and any non-swimmers — we plan boat assignments accordingly
