Durmitor Retreat is a fully renovated apartment in the heart of Zabljak, Montenegro. It sits 200 metres from our rafting office and roughly 3 km from Black Lake, which makes it the shortest possible commute to a Tara departure or a Durmitor trailhead.

Why stay in Zabljak the night before

Most guests booking a Tara trip drive in from Kotor or Podgorica the same morning — around three hours of mountain road before the boat touches water. Staying in Zabljak overnight changes the whole day. Our office is a two-minute walk from the door and departures start at 09:00.
